Noting / Banning Admin: FryofDestiny
Length of ban: five day role ban, seven day game ban
Ban reason: Competence, Security Incompetence, 1st offense, 5 day role ban, Ahelp evasion, 7 day game ban
Ban issue: The ban is fair, but I would like a second chance or reduction.
Events leading to the ban
So the context of this is I am very new to this game, and had just unlocked warden.
During this shift, we had the musician (Roy Eshert? Cannot recall name properly sorry, will refer to as Roy) have contraband and when discovered he ran off with said contraband leading to a warrant for their arrest. Eventually they where brought in and imprisoned for having contraband (the orb had gone missing at this point in the game) and resisting arrest. During their five minute stay they became violent and attacked both me as warden and a fellow officer, leading me to fumbling about in attempting to extend their sentence as well as additional charges of assualt. During my fumbling he escaped and ran off into tunnels while officers pursued, I stayed back to handle other affairs at Security.
When he was returned, he was critical and I was informed he attempted suicide. I asked the Captain for a DNR to which the Captain agreed, however the AI rightfully pointed out that DNR is only acceptable for capital crimes but said he had suicided and to let him pass to which I did, handing his body off to medical for disposal.
Some time after this, Admin help boxes began appearing but they merely said this is for contacting admins and I brushed it off as a weird bug of the playtest. Just as Evac arrived and during a duel crisis of Vox Raiders and Dragon / Carp, I was banned.
Reason the ban should be removed
First I’d like to apologise for my ignorance of not recongising an Admin was attempting to contact me, that was entirely me having only played this game for about eight days ish, so thats on me.
I’d like to have the ban removed because it was a genuine mistake that I didn’t recognise an Admin was attempting to communicate to me. It will not happen again, I do aplogise profusely for my ignorance of what it was and I have by all of this going on been taught that is how Ahelp works so lessons learned very bluntly.
I will not appeal the role ban because I probably do need to learn space law and some of the game mechanics a bit better, but thats on me.
