Go into detail about it and tell us a lot about it: i observe a lot, ive spent at least 2x my playtime observing. i see a lot of people who need help with things and i want to be able to help with some advice or fixing a bug. there's also people who go purple catatonic could be turned into a ghost role and it would work really well. i have a lot of ideas for events! i also am not interested in doing self inserts. i want to make fun and interesting rounds that people will remember, like setting up ship warfare. i also think i have a good interpretation of the rules and can help others understand them too as well as enforce them in a way that wont disrupt the round and will be entertaining. i want to make the server fun and give the best experience to every player new and experienced. Have you adminned for any other SS13 or SS14 server? If so, tell us about your experiences during that time, and if possible, give us proof of this: no. What role do you think the Game Admins exactly serve: first and foremost, to make sure that rules are enforced, to serve the community by defending the server from people who just want to ruin the game. admins also keep the game interesting and to keep gameplay flowing properly, also adding things to keep rounds hectic and make some rounds more unique. also to shoot down issues as they arise. What do you think is the current roleplay status of the server, what do you think can be done to improve it: i don't think that there is a lot of roleplay on the server, as well as some of shitter self antag behavior that makes early morning and late night miserable to play, but the roleplay that there is is what i keep coming back to goob for, extremely entertaining community. i think that shitters should get bans. i guess an invasive solution could be initiating forced roleplay as a self insert, i dont know in what scenarios, i guess an example could be like what NoSugarPlumNovember does with possessing objects and talking to people as them, there is no option to kill, just to ignore or to talk. but if done enough it could make people choose to talk to eachother more often, like if they see that it is fun to talk your way out of things or just talk to others as a character is fun. i dont know it is a silly idea. ------------------------------------------ The more questions questions. (It's highly recommended you put more than just a single or two sentences.) Say, someone who already has a note on RDM from before, for example, was to RDM and kill two people, but they've left already before you could admin help them. How would you handle the problem? i would first check if they were an antagonist. if not, i'd put another note on this person, i would download the round replay and i would give this person an appeal only ban, when they appeal i would ask them about what happened and check their story with the round replay. i would then submit it to a head admin or something. not a very trustworthy person. could be a repeat repeat offender. Captain seems to have disconnected before they died or the round ended. This is the first time they've disconnected while playing a very important job. What would you do about them? i would then add a note saying they disconnected as captain, and add that they should be asked about it next time they are online, because it could be from a complete accident or an issue that required their immediate attention. they could also be oblivious to the rules, in which case i dont think that would warrant any type of job ban but their response should be noted. it should be noted either way, but that response would be a little more worrying from an admin perspective. i dont think that obliviousness should affect how the issue is handled at all except for what the person is told in response, in this case i would try to tell them that they shouldn't do that again and i would site the specific rule as my source. You see a passenger player mess around too much and start interfering with a Security Officer's arrest by uncuffing the Officer's prisoner, as the passenger runs, the Officer pulls out their gun and shoots the passenger almost to death. What's wrong here and how would you handle the situation as an Admin? i would first figure out if the passenger was an antagonist. if the passenger is not an antagonist i would ahelp them asking why they did that, add a note or a warning depending on their record. for the officer i would ask why he did that and i would also check to see if they were aware they were using lethals, because previously security officers were provided with rubber bullets (which deal less harm than a disabler) but are no longer offered that. i would also check their non-lethal options like if they had a charged stunbaton or disabler at all. if they had non lethal options and were aware that they were using lethals OR had a record of shitty behavior i would add a warning to their remarks, otherwise i would just give them an ahelp warning, and also a note saying that we had the talk about that. The Clown has been constantly slipping, pieing, and messing with other players, including Officers by interfering and messing up their work. Despite being told to stop by others, they've continued. How would you deal with the problem yourself? if they are not an antagonist as long as they are not intentionally and repeatedly freeing arrested people or stealing sec equipment and using it on officers i would not really do anything. the most i would do is like point to the clowning book in their inventory. following bruce kelp's guide would make for an entertaining clown. if they get arrested it is their fault. You and another Admin have been doing your job without problems, not much has happened. All of a sudden, the other admin decides to mess with the round without running a vote on it. It could lead to ruining the round for others rather than be fun. What would you do? i would ask what the event is and why it is happening. i would also see how it is affecting people with a playful vote, such as "are you enjoying this event or should we demote _________" i would not actually want to demote this person. but the response to the poll would help us guage if we should let it continue or cut it short. whether it goes on or not i would report this to a head admin. ------------------------------------------ End Anything else we should know about or have questions about: sigma ohio rizzy gronk Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
