Go into detail about it and tell us a lot about it: I thought that after playing the game for a while, I could try and apply and also after seeing what is happening I thought that you need some help. Also most of the time I play, when there is under 30 or 40 players (low pop), there are no active admins, so people can't AHelp. Do you have any prior admin experience on another SS13/SS14 server? If so, tell us about your experiences during that time, and if possible, give us proof of this: None at all. What role do you think the Game Admins exactly server: They protect the server from raider and trolls, help people in need of help or advice, do events and make the game enjoyable. What are you primarily interested in doing as an admin?: Helping people, giving them advice when they need to and ask, and if possible doing events. What are you least interested in doing as an admin?: None that I can think of. What makes you a great addition to Staff?: I would be an additional help for the current team and I'm in a different time zone, so I can be online while others sleep. What do you think is the current roleplay status of the server, what do you think can be done to improve it: It's as good as it can be at the moment. It can be improved, but improvement will take time, since there is no easy way to import gameplay features from SS13. Other than banning problematic players, what admin actions do you believe have the biggest positive impact?: Helping the players in need of guidance and doing events. Have you ever had a negative experience in the game or with a game admin? If so what, if anything, would you do to prevent other players from experiencing this?: Yes, I did. Mostly misunderstandings and I would absolutely like to prevent other players from experiencing this, for example I would avoid admining when I have some issue in the real world and don't have a good mood. Have you ever had a good experience with the game or a game admin? If so, what was it?: Absolutely most of the times, great events, funny jokes. In your opinion, what is the most important quality of an admin?: Keeping their cool, acting "professional", not choosing one side over the other in a dispute. ------------------------------------------ Scenarios Questions (You should put more than just one or two sentences.) It is the start of the round. There are 60 players on the server. The game mode is traitors, traitors have not been selected yet. There are three players who decided to observe the round instead of join it orbiting you. Two of them are encouraging you to “do something funny”. I would say there are two solutions to this A. Ignore them they will eventually get bored. Or B. Do something in the admin testing grounds, BUT only if there is nothing serious happening and there are other admins in the round, so if something were to happen, you have time to quickly end whatever was going on in admin testing grounds and go help the others if help is needed. Say, someone who already has a note on RDM from before, for example, was to RDM and kill two people, but they've left already before you could admin help them. How would you handle the problem? In this scenario, this would be a 2nd offense, I would say it would be a 1-2 week long ban, depending on the circumstances on who they killed, if it was an antag (-s) or not and if they were permanently removed from the round or not. BUT I need to check the logs if I did not directly saw it happen, I can't choose to be on the side of the victims just because the player has a note for previous RDM, there could be some circumstances that the victims are not telling me. Example they attacked his/her first. Captain seems to have disconnected before they died or the round ended. This is the first time they've disconnected while playing a very important job. What would you do about them? Wait ~5 minutes, if they come back do nothing, could have been just bad internet connection, best would be to ask them just to make sure and ask if it could happen again, if they do not come back, move them to crypod. Optionally remove their captain stuff that they took from the locker and return it and make a Central Command announcement about the captain being bluespaced into an important meeting and saying that their stuff has been returned to their locker. You see a chemist who has only made basic meds start gathering materials and talking about making uranium foam grenades in chat. Right as they start making the grenades they roll as a midround sleeper Syndicate. How would you handle the situation if at all? Best would be to confront them and tell them to not make them since he does not need them for anything or if they already made them tell them not to use them or give them away, if they decide to use them before rolling a sleeper agent, it would be considered as self-antaging and would result in a ban if they harmed or killed someone. You see a clown using crayon to write on the floor in front of security. The clown writings are negative things about security, like “shitsec”. A secoff tells the clown that they’re being arrested for vandalism, stuns them, and cuffs them. Before the secoff is able to get the clown into the brig, a passenger slips the secoff, causing them to lose their baton, then uses the baton to stun another secoff that comes to help as the clown runs away. The passenger escapes through disposals. Having heard an AOS radio callout, the detective enters maintenance near disposals and shoots the passenger to crit. There are four players in this scenario, the clown, the passenger, the secoff, and the detective. In this scenario, this would be an unnecessary escalation from the detective and result in a job ban, since they posed no harm, this escalation is only allowed as a last resort, only if the clown or the passenger have already avoided arrest multiple times and has to be approved by the Head of Security or Captain. You and another Admin have been doing your job without problems, you then catch a command staff member misuse contraband. While you are in the middle of the ahelp, the other admin jumps into the middle of your ahelp with a rule clarification that is plainly incorrect. Without the interruption, what would have you asked the command staff member, and how would you have responded or reacted to the interrupting admin? I would ask the interrupting admin to please leave and that I have everything under control and ask them if they looked into the correct rule in the correct section and to double check. You are ahelping a player about an issue. The player has no prior noted issues. A few days earlier, an admin had told you that this type of situation should result in a temporary ban for a first offense, and you are confident that this situation is not substantially different from the type that admin was describing. During the ahelp, another admin pings you on Discord with a link to the ongoing ahelp and tells you to just indefinitely ban them and make them appeal. Excluding Trial Game Admins, Senior Game Admins and Head Game Admins, all admins are equally “ranked”. A headmin is not currently available. I would ban them indefinitely and add a note that the length of the ban can change in a few days. I might be confident that the situation is not substantially different, but I'm not 100% sure and it would be better to discuss it with other admins, because I got two different answers from two different admins. ------------------------------------------ End Anything else we should know about or have questions about: None that I can think of. .
