Ban (12hr) The reason you were banned: RDM - Gibbed a guy in brig to make a scene. Was antag, but had no kill objectives. Everything that lead to your ban, give a detailed explanation. Relevant info only and don't leave anything important out: As traitor, my objective was to Assist (Tar-On), Steal Crew Monitor, and Escape. Near round start, i checked CMO's room to find it already open and plundered, so i grabbed the Hypo-Spray. I spent nearly the entire shift strip-searching everyone's pockets and bag for the monitor, and never recovered it. I was apprehended at a security "checkpoint" that a player installed onto Origin station, on the east side of security by dorms. After illegally detaining me, the officer demanded i submit to a search. Instead, i hypo'd the officer with 30u of Lexorin, grabbed his ID and made a run for it. The HoS gunned me down with a Drozd, threw me into perma where i made an ahelp, and asked what i am supposed to do. My assist objective (Tar-On) was in jail with me, the CMO monitor was gone at shift-start, and i essentially was out of options now as i got detained and illegally thrown in perma. All 3 syndicates were SSD in perma, This is a clear indication that security was too busy metagaming to properly do their job. As i was waiting for a response in perma, i grabbed a folding chair, and began to beat another person in perma in order to attract the guards attention. The admin then responded to me, and told me that they had no idea why i was in brig. I then gibbed the body while mindlessly hitting them trying to attract attention and typing in ahelp. The admin then explained "Well, you just round removed an SSD person, so you will be getting a ban when the round is over." I explained that i would be appealing it, and that i have no choice because now ANYTHING i do is considered rule breaking as an antagonist. Why you should be unbanned: This ban was temporary and has expired. Due to the rules and regulations of Goobstation forums, i chose to wait 24 hours before making an appeal. I would like this expunged or deleted from the record. Even as an antagonist, i am scrutinized over my actions and given punishments for interacting with players who literally aren't even in the game. I know there are rules protecting SSD people, but protecting them from antagonists? The ban reason mentions RDM, but this was not a case of random deathmatch. I did not go out of my to remove this person, and they were disconnected from the server from the time of their arrest to the end of the shift replay. They were simply the closest person to me and the only thing i could think of to escape. The other person in perma was my assist objective. Nothing happened due to my actions. Nobody's feelings were hurt, Nobody was deprived of their SS14 experience. Even if i had a "kill target" or "die" objective, i could still be punished for causing unnecessary havoc by breaking into/out of security, or killing / round removing officers because they died and weren't revived. I made an ahelp to ask for guidance on what to do since i can't pursue my objectives, and instead i got given a punishment for attempting to pursue my objectives. I feel like my only possible course of action was to get an officer into perma, disarm them, robust and take their equipment and escape. Even if i had done this, i could still be punished for it under the laws that are currently in place. This is the 2nd ban appeal i've had to make over an insignificant event that did not require admin intervention. I'm not sure if that's a statement on me or the state of the game.
