It was like my 5th or 6th round playing on goob, not in a row just in total i think? And i thought " Oh I'm gonna be a double agent, gonna work for security but REALLY try and work against them" This was before i knew that the game does not let you be antag if you are security or any other job like sec and that antag is random. So i make my Character, give it security and and antag role, and logged on, then after getting my sec gear and going to security, i am face to face with the general or captain idk cant remember he had a higher role, so i'm like " Im gonna shoot this guy" Because the antag role i chose said to cause as much chaos on the station as possible i think, so i do shoot him, die, and get asked by the admin " why did you shoot cap/chief?" I respond saying i chose antag role, he says " you know admins can see player stats right " and im like " yea so you should see it right?'' and he says " is this a joke?" and im like " no i swore i chose antag" this goes on for a little bit until i get banned, i tell my friend what happened and he said " People in sec cant be antag" and im like " OH NO" he also got banned funnily enough.
Why I should be unbanned: It was an honest mistake, i was new and didn't know, and i promise i wont do it again.

so here is the thing: simply choosing roles from the antag tab doesnt grant you them, the game chooses some people with the antag roles on near the begging or at the start of the round. when you become an antag a pop-up should appear in the game chat along with a sound effect, missed it because you were afk? press C (by default) to open the character menu where you will have info on your objectives
