What's your Space Station 14 Username: Pankeku

What's your Discord Username: DatFlatPancake

How long have you been playing Space Station 14?: Late May 2024

(OPTIONAL) How long have you been playing Space Station 13?: I checked up on it but never really played it fully.

What's your playtime amount on the Goob Station Server: 558.4 hours

How old are you: 20

Have you ever been banned from the Goob Station Server:
Yep. Self antagging first offense, purposely threw a small potassium bomb at engineering. I was already in a bad mood irl and they somehow soured it more by being rude. The plasteel was a small part of it.

General Questions

Why do you want to become a Game Admin? Go into detail about it and tell us a lot about it:
I want to interact with the community more and I've been getting more into the goob community recently.  I also want to help people from what I've learned playing the game. I also like observing how players play a lot and if I can, I usually ghost raffle into their pAIs simply to help.

Do you have any prior admin or staff experience on another SS13/SS14 server? If so, tell us about your experiences during that time, and if possible, give us proof of this:
Unfortunately no.

What role do you think Game Admins serve, in detail:
Admins are there to try and help the players, guiding them through tasks, especially new ones. They are also people who watch out for certain rule breakers, answer ahelps depending on what the problem is and enforce rules if broken.

What are you primarily interested in doing as an admin?:
Helping players in the game, observing the station and silly admemes at centcomm.

What are you least interested in doing as an admin?:
I have never been admin before so I am not too sure. Checking logs perhaps but I am willing to do it when asked.

What makes you a great addition to staff?:
I play a lot of Goob, especially in low pop hours. I unfortunately live on the other side of the world from most players.
I also communicate first before really doing anything and adapt fast to a lot of situations.

What do you think is the current roleplay status of the LRP server, what do you think can be done to improve it:
There are a lot of times where the server goes into NRP, especially in antag situations where I've seen people powergame a bit TOO MUCH to be acceptable(Not that powergaming is acceptable).  Times where players just prioritise combat/murderboning over roleplay or even their objectives. Valid Hunters and and a lot of Tiders tend to be of trouble too.

(OPTIONAL) What do you think is the current roleplay status of the MRP server, what do you think can be done to improve it:
Surprisingly it's holding up to its name as an MRP. Although there are cases where it does sometimes feel like LRP and a few bugs and there but so far its been great!

Other than banning problematic players, what admin actions do you believe have the biggest positive impact?:
Helping new players! Although an admin's job is to oversee the server, their most important job is to help the players, that includes new players who have just started playing the game.

Have you ever had a negative experience with a game admin (even on another SS13/14 server)? If so what, if anything, would you do differently?:
Nope! All my experiences have been good so far.

Have you ever had a good experience with a game admin? If so, what was it?:
Plenty! I've experienced a lot of silly admemes from the admins and it continues to pile up! I was once a nukie plushie at centcomm for the heck of it. It's been plenty of fun. When friends and I repair our maints bar, we sometimes get visits by admins and get stuff redecorated or get items we need to repair it. Most of my ahelps have been nice too. I remember when I was still new to ss14, tried out engineering for the first time and somehow trapped myself with hv wires while doing solars, Cody dragged me out, who was thankfully watching me. Recently I had an admin play music as I was dueling with a nukie. (I won btw)

In your opinion, what is the most important quality in an admin?:
Sympathy/Empathy and being able to really understand a situation from different perspectives. There's certain times where a player does an action that breaks certain rules and they may have a reason for it.

Scenarios Questions (You should put more than just one or two sentences.)

It is the start of the round. There are 60 players on the server. The game mode is traitors, traitors have not been selected yet. There are three players who decided to observe the round instead of join it orbiting you. Two of them are encouraging you to “do something funny”.
I would type "chat watch this" and do absolutely nothing, not even move. However if I would do something I would probably pop in somewhere players can't go to (Centcomm or somewhere else) and do something random.

Say, someone who already has a note on RDM from before, for example, was to RDM and kill two people, but they've left already before you could admin help them. How would you handle the problem?
Well since they have a previous note for RDM, I would check up on it and ask the two dead players about their perspectives. If both players' statements align and they were indeed RDM-ed, a 3 day ban should suffice. But since they most likely left to evade me ahelping them, I would extended it to a more suitable length. I would also leave a note for the future so the next admin knows.

The Captain has disconnected before they died or the round ended. This is the first time they've disconnected while playing a very important job. What do you do?
SSD-ing or Disconnecting in the middle of the round is a very common thing, There are things that the players can't control outside the game that may lead them to disconnecting, it could be a wifi issue or entirely something else irl. I would first see if they will be rejoining or not, if The captain doesn't reconnect after some time, I would drag them back into their room if they were out in the open to avoid any looting and if they're gone for more than 20-30 minutes, I would most likely cryo-sleep them so a new captain can join. I would then leave a note since I can't really ahelp them for a reason. When they do reply/get back online, then ahelp them about the situation and if the reason is valid, I would tell them to inform an admin or someone part of command about it next time and remove the note.

You see a chemist who has only made basic meds start gathering materials and talking about making uranium foam grenades in chat. Right as they start making the grenades they roll as a midround sleeper Syndicate. How would you handle the situation if at all?
I would ask the player first for a reason on why, If the player doesn't really have a prior reason to make uranium foam grenades like in-game enemies or antags, If they do have a reason and permission from a head, I would probably ignore it or ask said head on why. If none of these apply I would most likely leave a note or a warning about it as they were making foam bombs that can be harmful to crew as a non-antag.

The Head of Security has decided to coup the Captain. The Head of Personnel agrees with the Head of Security and has taken up arms in case it is necessary to aid in effecting the arrest of the Captain. The Captain is hiding with the Quartermaster in the cargo shuttle to avoid the Clown who has stolen the captains saber as a non-antag. There are five people named in this scenario. Please describe what actions, if any, you would take in relation to each, and why.
First of all, I would ask HoS the reason why they started the coup. If somehow the reason is valid then most likely HoP has a reason on why he agreed. Check on why Captain is getting arrested, maybe they abused their authority a bit too much for HoS to warrant an arrest. QM is most likely innocent and is just hiding the Captain as per orders or simply because they're the captain and QM wasn't told of what's happening. Clown however, stole the captain's saber and will be observed and actions varies depending on what the Clown does next.

You see a clown using crayon to write on the floor in front of security. The clown writings are negative things about security, like “shitsec”. A secoff tells the clown that they’re being arrested for vandalism, stuns them, and cuffs them. Before the secoff is able to get the clown into the brig, a passenger slips the secoff, causing them to lose their baton, then uses the baton to stun another secoff that comes to help as the clown runs away. The passenger escapes through disposals. Having heard an AOS radio callout, the detective enters maintenance near disposals and shoots the passenger to crit. There are four players in this scenario, the clown, the passenger, the secoff, and the detective.
Although the clown technically did start the conflict, they are innocent regarding server rules BUT not through Space Law. The Security Officer has valid reasons on arresting them for vandalism. The passenger might have their reasons on saving the clown with IC reasons but will likely receive a warning, depending if they were antag or not.

As for the Detective, I would see first if the passenger was hostile enough for the Det to do lethals in an AoS. But they are probably in the clear in this situation as the Passenger still has a stun baton and CAN out combat them using stuns, however I would warn them to use non-lethals first before lethals.

You and another Admin have been doing your job without problems, you then catch a command staff member misuse contraband. While you are in the middle of the ahelp, the other admin jumps into the middle of your ahelp with a rule clarification that is plainly incorrect. Without the interruption, what would have you asked the command staff member, and how would you have responded or reacted to the interrupting admin?
Without the interruption, I would ask the command for a reason on why they're using contraband as a command as its against the rules. Depending on what they used, if it's minor or major contrabands and HOW it was used, I would issue a punishment suitable (Most likely just a warning. A role ban if needed)

With the interruption, I would probably question the interrupting admin in private, most likely through discord dms. Correctly clarify them on what happened from my perspective and kindly ask them not to interrupt an ongoing ahelp to avoid confusion between different admins and the player being ahelped.

You are ahelping a player about an issue. The player has no prior noted issues. A few days earlier, an admin had told you that this type of situation should result in a temporary ban for a first offense, and you are confident that this situation is not substantially different from the type that admin was describing. During the ahelp, another admin pings you on Discord with a link to the ongoing ahelp and tells you to just indefinitely ban them and make them appeal. Excluding Trial Game Admins, Senior Game Admins and Head Game Admins, all admins are equally “ranked”. A headmin is not currently available.
I would give a punishment that would best suit the situation despite what the other admin suggested. It's my ahelp, that means it would be my responsibility as no other admins or headmin are available. I would inform the other admin about this decision and would stand by it.

End

Anything else we should know about or have questions about:
I have a couple warnings/notes that may lead me to not meet the admin requirements. Unsure though but I would like to shoot for the opportunity either way.
