General Questions

Why do you want to become a Game Admin? Go into detail about it and tell us a lot about it: I played alot of lowpop Goob Station late at night, and most of the time admins are not there at all, because they are usually sleeping, I have seen alot of self-antaggers and rulebreakers during this time. This can impact the reputation of Goob Station because of this essentially "NRP" time, if people can even get past the panic bunker which is it's own problem. I can moderate and keep close eyes during this late night time. I also know pretty much everything there is to SS14, from antags to chemicals to every job and role, so I am able to theoretically help with any question asked about the game.

Do you have any prior admin or staff experience on another SS13/SS14 server? If so, tell us about your experiences during that time, and if possible, give us proof of this: I have not, but I am a quick learner. I have seen the admins do their job and know my way around the admin tools, even more than some admins, I also have skills in Bash and the Toolbox commands, so I am able to quickly write advanced commands, like for example, making everyone around me a lightweight drunk in a 20 mile radius:

self nearby 20 with actor:controlled do tag:add "LightweightDrunk"

What role do you think Game Admins serve, in detail: Admins are the face and core of every server they moderate. I've seen many times when people are looking for controversies in an online group, they look to the moderators first, and it is up to them and their good will to keep the server alive. And they also have the role of keeping the game fun, playing almost every role and knowing everything about the game makes it dull, admins are able to spice up rounds and make it more fun, which could leave a good print on the player and enjoy the server more, and they also keep stuff in line too, making sure Security doesn't go overboard or that the Captain becomes a massive shitter, they are essentially the Gamemasters of SS14

What are you primarily interested in doing as an admin?: I primarily want to help many people in anyway I can and make the game enjoyable to them, especially since at night there aren't any admins online and is the time when there is rulebreakers/new players in the game.

What are you least interested in doing as an admin?: Honestly, I can't make up my mind on what I'm least interested in, since I am prepared for everything an admin has to do.

What makes you a great addition to staff?: I am good at multitasking alot of things, I am also able to spend more time in the game than other admins, always keeping a look on things when the other admins have gone to bed. I am also able to quickly resolve alot of problems, I am good in investigative work and working things out.

What do you think is the current roleplay status of the LRP server, what do you think can be done to improve it: Currently I think the server is like a LRP+, Most interactions I've had are RP, but the LRP nature of Goob 1 make it so that there is enough leeway for a lot of funny stuff to happen, which can improve a given round. I don't think changing this would be good for the server, since Goob's whole entire thing is funny and dumb stuff happening.

(OPTIONAL) What do you think is the current roleplay status of the MRP server, what do you think can be done to improve it:
With Goob 2 turning into an MRP Server, I feel a lot of LRP players are flocking over to it and still learning the MRP Gameplay, This'll make the server kind of less RP Oriented, But let the players learn and the server grow, and it can be a proper MRP.

Other than banning problematic players, what admin actions do you believe have the biggest positive impact?: The attitude of Admins can have a suprisingly high impact on how other's perceive them, an admin acting rude will have an effect on people, making them have a slight grudge, and that can spiral into a grudge of the whole admin team or the server overall.

Have you ever had a negative experience with a game admin (even on another SS13/14 server)? If so what, if anything, would you do differently?: This was back when people were using bluespace lockers to teleport to the Arrivals Station before the admins decided it was griefing, an admin questioned me if I was there, though their wording was confusing and I couldn't understand what they said, so it took like 3 questions for me to understand and answer honestly, and the admin left a remark saying I was trying to lie in an ahelp, even though this was the complete opposite. If it were I in this scenario, I will try to be as plain as possible to help the person understand more about what I'm asking.

Have you ever had a good experience with a game admin? If so, what was it?: I rolled Syndicate and got a Supply Crate with some high-powered items in it, though as I was about to enter into space, the arrivals shuttle spawned ontop of me, away from Arrivals, I ahelped this and the admin almost immediately
responded, and was able to spawn me back into the game with all my equipment back.

In your opinion, what is the most important quality in an admin?: The most important quality is their ways of resolving, there are many factors in resolving an issue, and being able to appropriately account them quickly and thoroughly is good for making the punishment or deciding actions.

Scenarios Questions (You should put more than just one or two sentences.)

It is the start of the round. There are 60 players on the server. The game mode is traitors, traitors have not been selected yet. There are three players who decided to observe the round instead of join it orbiting you. Two of them are encouraging you to “do something funny”.

This is way too early for any admin intervention, usually the game does "something funny" by itself in the round, and interfering would ruin it, and there is always gonna be one person who would complain about it.

Say, someone who already has a note on RDM from before, for example, was to RDM and kill two people, but they've left already before you could admin help them. How would you handle the problem?

Purposely leaving a server to evade an ahelp is a zero tolerance rule already and along with them RDMing two times, would equal to a appeal only ban, and I would specify the appeal link in the ban. But after the ban, I would try to get insight on the situation, events leading up, and the possible reasons which would most probably be just griefing for reactions. I will also assist the people who were killed during it.

The Captain has disconnected before they died or the round ended. This is the first time they've disconnected while playing a very important job. What do you do?

This is a first offender and this is a usually relaxed punishment. Maybe they forgot to ahelp before disconnecting, maybe a connection issue, maybe something OOC happened. But either way I'll give them a join message reminding them to ahelp before disconnecting, and try to get the crew to get a new captain.

You see a chemist who has only made basic meds start gathering materials and talking about making uranium foam grenades in chat. Right as they start making the grenades they roll as a midround sleeper Syndicate. How would you handle the situation if at all?

If they were making uranium foam gernades before they knew they were a syndie, then that would count as powergaming and would warn them if they are a first time offender, if they are a repeating offender I would role-ban then from chemist or a ban in general if they keep powergaming on other jobs.

The Head of Security has decided to coup the Captain. The Head of Personnel agrees with the Head of Security and has taken up arms in case it is necessary to aid in effecting the arrest of the Captain. The Captain is hiding with the Quartermaster in the cargo shuttle to avoid the Clown who has stolen the captains saber as a non-antag. There are five people named in this scenario. Please describe what actions, if any, you would take in relation to each, and why.

Deciding as a Command Member to mutinize the Captain is Self-Antagging to the highest degree, especially if the Captain has done nothing to you, and very especially if you did not mail Centcomm first in an IC way to get their authorization.

HoS: Question them on why they decided to run a Coup, and if they didn't get CentComm permission first I would note them on their Incompetency, Demote and/or Role-Ban them for deciding to use their powers to Self-Antag and arm them and the HoP against the Captain.
HoP: Them agreeing to mutinize the Captain and arming themselves to do that would also be incompetency, and would have close to the same punishments as the HoS for consciously working with them on this goal.
Captain: The Captain is allowed to hide on the cargo shuttle if their is a threat to them right now, like with the Coup situation, though they are not allowed to go off-station and would ahelp them to not.
QM: Quartermaster is doing their job as regular, I would ahelp them to not drive off the shuttle with the Captain on it.
Clown: The Clown may be self-antagging, but I will watch them to see what plays out IC, and I will try messaging them IC to return the captain's sabre, if they give it back, I will only give them a note, but if they don't I will have to ahelp them to give back the sabre.

You see a clown using crayon to write on the floor in front of security. The clown writings are negative things about security, like “shitsec”. A secoff tells the clown that they’re being arrested for vandalism, stuns them, and cuffs them. Before the secoff is able to get the clown into the brig, a passenger slips the secoff, causing them to lose their baton, then uses the baton to stun another secoff that comes to help as the clown runs away. The passenger escapes through disposals. Having heard an AOS radio callout, the detective enters maintenance near disposals and shoots the passenger to crit. There are four players in this scenario, the clown, the passenger, the secoff, and the detective.

Being a clown is not a ticket to be a shitter, though just writing stuff using crayon, is a situation that sec has to deal with. However the Security Officer is, ironically, what would have you labelled as shitsec, shoot first, ask questions later, I would message them IC to try to be more liberal with their enforcing. The passenger situation is prohibition of justice and griefing, I will IC message them to give it back, if not, ahelp them. And the detective is security incompetency and using lethals before trying to subdue even if ordered to AOS, and I would ahelp them about their incompetency if they are a first-time offender, and if not, I will decide on a role-ban for them.

You and another Admin have been doing your job without problems, you then catch a command staff member misuse contraband. While you are in the middle of the ahelp, the other admin jumps into the middle of your ahelp with a rule clarification that is plainly incorrect. Without the interruption, what would have you asked the command staff member, and how would you have responded or reacted to the interrupting admin?

I would warn the Command member to not use or carry contraband unless they absolutely need it (Like having an esword from a downed nukie and the other nukie is running at them with their own sword). and for the admin, While Core Rule 1 says that admins can override rules if it is for the betterment of the round, server, or community. I won't see how this would improve the situation. I would try to assess the situation and politely tell them about why what they said was wrong and will also inform higher authoritys like head admins about what they did. But I won't try to confront them because I have seen time and time again, that will just lead to escalation which ends up being bad for all parties involved.

You are ahelping a player about an issue. The player has no prior noted issues. A few days earlier, an admin had told you that this type of situation should result in a temporary ban for a first offense, and you are confident that this situation is not substantially different from the type that admin was describing. During the ahelp, another admin pings you on Discord with a link to the ongoing ahelp and tells you to just indefinitely ban them and make them appeal. Excluding Trial Game Admins, Senior Game Admins and Head Game Admins, all admins are equally “ranked”. A headmin is not currently available.

I will message the admin for their reasoning, If it is of extreme logical reason I will note it, and I will also reference the severity of the ahelp and compare it to the original rules set in place by the first admin vs. the indef ban. And I will make a punishment based off of all those factors.
