General Questions

Why do you want to become a Game Admin? Go into detail about it and tell us a lot about it:

Main reason why I want to be a game admin is I want to mainly admin Goob MRP.  While I'm fine with LRP, I personally like the back and forth of interaction that's more common in MRP over LRP, added on top of expectation of stronger expectation of actually fulfilling the role they choose and less instances of people being complacent with getting caught and doesn't end up a feud of you say I say added on top of the unnecessary insults that constantly comes with it in sec or not.  While I believe it's possible to draw a line if I'm an admin myself, I personally believe I'll get frustrated by dealing with such constant scenarios, hence why I want to admin MRP.  In retrospect I would like to incentivize more people to join Goob MRP by talking more in depth on why people stopped playing or do events (if possible).

Do you have any prior admin or staff experience on another SS13/SS14 server? If so, tell us about your experiences during that time, and if possible, give us proof of this: None

What role do you think Game Admins serve, in detail:

I believe that Game Admins purpose is to uphold certain boundaries on the expectation or standard of the gameplay experience people want by deciding to join and play on Goob, mostly enforcing on the basis of self-antag, griefing, escalation and competence

What are you primarily interested in doing as an admin?:

The aspect of admin I'm really interested in is hosting events along with getting feedback to improve certain aspects of improving gameplay and on cherry on top, witnessing skit/gimmicks

What are you least interested in doing as an admin?:

I'm least interested in is dealing with people who violated a rule but lies/refuse to admit they're in the wrong along with enacting on bans

What makes you a great addition to staff?:

While I most certainly do not have enough admin experience, I believe I can adjust to so along with being part of the lightheartedness I like that Goob has along with adding interesting ideas/events here and there

What do you think is the current roleplay status of the LRP server, what do you think can be done to improve it:

The roleplay in LRP I believe isn't as prominent compared to the desire of playing it more of a sandbox game, which I personally believe depending what direction the staff wants should be fine.  But I do believe the idea of enforcing any non intro roles to at least do some part of the role they assigned themselves into unless they're an antag, this is on my stance of a player should not take a limited role only to run to HoP to quickly swap to being a tider even if you're an antag since I believe that maintaining the guise that you're normal is part of the charm of antag, however the exception of if there's a flood of a department and they wish to change due to not being able to do anything then it's acceptable.

(OPTIONAL) What do you think is the current roleplay status of the MRP server, what do you think can be done to improve it:

While MRP has  in my opinion not enough players to have a fully fleshed out RP the potential is there, take for example the interaction prisoners have with sec is honestly a fun thing to have it enacted and most certainly makes it so that even if you're an antag you won't get disheartened as much if you get tossed onto perma.  However, I do believe that the expectation of LRP being dragged into MRP isn't necessary a good thing, but it's inevitable due to the nature of Goob being LRP in the first place, and I believe it can be adjusted in a way where both sides are satisfied with playing in MRP together.

Other than banning problematic players, what admin actions do you believe have the biggest positive impact?:

I really like the back and forth relationship admin has when it comes down to the individual players along with interacting with command in the game with the CC announcements or the phone call/fax, and one of the end game skit where a CC folk is taking a dump still surviving after a nuke went off, only to finally go and explode, unexpected, but I love the unexpectedness of that skit.

Have you ever had a negative experience with a game admin (even on another SS13/14 server)? If so what, if anything, would you do differently?: Nope

Have you ever had a good experience with a game admin? If so, what was it?:

In your opinion, what is the most important quality in an admin?: Just understanding people are here to just have fun and know the line between funny and annoying

Scenarios Questions (You should put more than just one or two sentences.)

It is the start of the round. There are 60 players on the server. The game mode is traitors, traitors have not been selected yet. There are three players who decided to observe the round instead of join it orbiting you. Two of them are encouraging you to “do something funny”.

I honestly will probably set up ghost roles for them to mess/interact with players since I believe with most people playing tiders/non-sec role I shouldn't rob too much for having the equal chances of rolling for what they want on traitors, to what extent on what role, unsure what limitation I have.  However, if there's a lack of interaction in people in the bar or any service roles adding the two surrounding me as boxers/gladiators sent from CC to fight each other, but it's up to them if they want it, if not then I won't.  If they only want to observe something funny then send a message around the lines of "Choose one person that isn't a command in each department, the chosen one gets a surprise gift!" and after they made a selection announce "If your chosen person is the last one standing among the rest chosen in a brawl of only boxing gloves the department wins a crate of supplies, and no killing them".  While it does deter from traitor from being normal I do believe with such low pop instead of letting them do about the same as last time it can add some uniqueness, if possible.

Say, someone who already has a note on RDM from before, for example, was to RDM and kill two people, but they've left already before you could admin help them. How would you handle the problem?

Depending on how severe the impact the two RDM makes it iffy, while it's not tolerable in my opinion, I'm willing to look more into, but from the looks of it's a 12hr GB minimum.  Without more context it can vairy on what the note says and what was done about it like were they banned beforehand which will make this a second charge or is it caught before anything bad happened, and when did they leave, right after the moment they RDM or is it because I failed to notice it and the match is over and they left.  Now textbook wise I will issue the punishment ASAP, but personally I believe punishing a player when they already left defeats the purpose of a punishment depending on the punishment itself, since if they left right after RDM it adds 7 days due to evasion and was the two people round removed adding on top of a 2x multiplier, however if it's a 12hr GB I will like to consult about it with other admin as it wouldn't be much of a punishment if the player already left and may or may not come back.

The Captain has disconnected before they died or the round ended. This is the first time they've disconnected while playing a very important job. What do you do?

It would depend as well, reason for such is because they might have an emergency to tend to or have a blackout or their internet died out and simply disconnected.  Now to deal with such problem I'll probably put the Captain's possession that doesn't spawn in their locker or room in a inaccessible place or remove it and just make it so the Captain was never there, then see if I can find a candidate for the position if command itself is understaffed, i.e only command is QM and RD with BSO and NTR.  However in the scenario there isn't an admin will probably have to step up to it.

You see a chemist who has only made basic meds start gathering materials and talking about making uranium foam grenades in chat. Right as they start making the grenades they roll as a midround sleeper Syndicate. How would you handle the situation if at all?

Not much of an offense aside from them making the uranium foam grenade in the first place when they weren't a sleeper Syndicate which will be situational if they're a repeat offender of self-antag or have notes about self-antag, however it is a count of Powergaming in the first place since they don't need it in the first place IC, but honestly even if they did make it without being a antag I believe it's passible to let them keep it but not use it, depending on the person themselves, if it's a person known for self-antag then I will warn them beforehand with a message, otherwise I will keep a close eye on them

The Head of Security has decided to coup the Captain. The Head of Personnel agrees with the Head of Security and has taken up arms in case it is necessary to aid in effecting the arrest of the Captain. The Captain is hiding with the Quartermaster in the cargo shuttle to avoid the Clown who has stolen the captains saber as a non-antag. There are five people named in this scenario. Please describe what actions, if any, you would take in relation to each, and why.

Quite the chaotic situation, but the fact that HoS and HoP wants to coup the Captain is what I assume self-antag by Cults/riot/revolution on top of over escalation of bringing lethal in an arrest, however I will say it depends on WHY they want to coup, if they simply feel like it then it's most simply reasonable to punish them for it, but if it lies on the incompetence of Captain then it's another scenario.  Which bring to the other three, the Clown themselves is dependent on how they stole the saber as a non-antag which if it's an exploit or just simply finding a thieves nabbing it or the classic of slipping the Captain.  For Captain and QM, it's extremely questionable why they would hide in a cargo shuttle instead of calling for help or depending on the current round antags situation, however seeing how Captain is wanted by HoS and HoP it can be assumed the Captain themselves is incompetent as they managed to get their saber stolen and can be questioned as such as they took on an important role.  For QM it seems like they're just caught up in the chaos and is likely just caught up in the chaos.  All in all the Captain is the most questionable one in the whole scenario as 1. They simply let their saber stolen 2. Instead of taking action against the Clown they decided to run in a cargo shuttle and 3. Possibility did something to make HoP AND HoS deemed a coup needs to take place, which it seems appropriate to see that they'll probably be punished for Competence which it looks like it'll be a 3 day RB rather than a warning

You see a clown using crayon to write on the floor in front of security. The clown writings are negative things about security, like “shitsec”. A secoff tells the clown that they’re being arrested for vandalism, stuns them, and cuffs them. Before the secoff is able to get the clown into the brig, a passenger slips the secoff, causing them to lose their baton, then uses the baton to stun another secoff that comes to help as the clown runs away. The passenger escapes through disposals. Having heard an AOS radio callout, the detective enters maintenance near disposals and shoots the passenger to crit. There are four players in this scenario, the clown, the passenger, the secoff, and the detective.

In the whole scenario the clown is probably the most innocent one, depending on what kind of language they decide to write down, if it's just "shitsec" then seeing if it's a repeat offender warn them if needed along with seeing if the current round will make the clown bear a grudge against security.  For the secoff, what they should've done is first warn the clown first as the act of vandalism is considered a first degree crime, however if it's after another scenario where the clown was warned for vandalism then it will be reasonable to state the arrest, however the action to immediately stun them is highly questionable since it isn't stated the clown resisted arrest in the first place but the opposite may be true and it's reasonable to stun them as they're fleeing, which after the scenario subsided should be reminded that first degree crime should be warned first and if they person doesn't listen and does it again they can arrest them on such charges.  The passenger would've be let off if they only slip the secoff, but because they decided to grab the baton and stun the other secoff trying to help makes it so they're self-antaging, with the exception of them being an antag themselves as it's normally assumed that IC people wouldn't just slip a secoff then stun them with the baton they dropped.  Unfortunately I will say the detective is the most wanted as it is extremely unexpected for the call out of AOS to go guns blazing with their gun and make them go crit making this a case of over escalation, however without knowing the current antags or alert color or current mental state of the Detective it should be first questioned on why they did it in the first place followed with a warning if this is their first offense or just seems mentally exhausted I'm in the favor of disregarding it as being in Security is mentally taxing for most people.

You and another Admin have been doing your job without problems, you then catch a command staff member misuse contraband. While you are in the middle of the ahelp, the other admin jumps into the middle of your ahelp with a rule clarification that is plainly incorrect. Without the interruption, what would have you asked the command staff member, and how would you have responded or reacted to the interrupting admin?

Instead of stating the rule is wrong in front of the command staff, it would be best to quickly DM or call them to quickly clarify on the rule they're mistaken on, which instead of jumping on back to say the other admin is in the wrong I will suggest the admin who stated the incorrect rule to fix it themselves since I believe if I pointed it out in the ahelp message it'll make the admins overall have a bad look as admins normally have the expectation to know and abide by the rulings they so enforce upon other players.  Furthermore, if that outlook isn't as favorable another take can be just take it light heartly as everyone is bound to make mistakes time to time, but if it's consistent then that's another question

You are ahelping a player about an issue. The player has no prior noted issues. A few days earlier, an admin had told you that this type of situation should result in a temporary ban for a first offense, and you are confident that this situation is not substantially different from the type that admin was describing. During the ahelp, another admin pings you on Discord with a link to the ongoing ahelp and tells you to just indefinitely ban them and make them appeal. Excluding Trial Game Admins, Senior Game Admins and Head Game Admins, all admins are equally “ranked”. A headmin is not currently available.

It will be in the best case to do temporary ban since there's only four cases of indef GB and two cases of a W-Indef GB excluding the age requirement of 14 and ban evasion for the first offense, with that being the case it can be assumed from this scenario that it's a case of either meta-communication or multi-keying which of so I will ask the admin messaging me for reasoning why I should instead of temporary ban them along with rereading what kind of situation the admin and I talked about as I might have misremembered it along with revaluating on how severe the act they did.
