I have no explaination other than I was high and going through a very difficult time in my personal life.

This kind of behaviour is not something I am proud of and I am ashamed of it, my personal circumstances aren't an excuse for putting someone through this but I would like a second chance to prove myself.

I sincerely apologies to whoever it was that was on the recieving end of this behaviour, I do not remember their name.

I was in a voice chat with a few other people playing, I did know we were all in the server together, we were not talking about the current round outside of one comment that someone was hoarding vending machines in the bridge. We did talk to eachother about the previous shift, and then were telling some stories about previous shifts. I was playing security, one of the people in the chat was an antag and I did not even know this until after the bans came in.

Why you should be unbanned:

This was my first time offence and while I understand that this is generally a no exceptions thing, I don't have any negative adminnotes on my file leading up to this. I did not intend to and do not believe that any metacomming was happening at the time. I have an audio clipping of the last few mins before I was banned that I can submit for review to show that we were not discussing the current round if requested. I do not intend to make this mistake again.

Dear Admin Team,
I am writing to appeal the recent ban I received while playing as Security. I believe this ban was the result of a misunderstanding regarding my use of a firebomb, and I would like to explain why I believe the ban was unwarranted based on the official rule set and common sense.
1. Preparation for Extreme Emergency
As a Security Officer, I was aware of the presence of changelings on the station—a significant threat to the crew. To prepare for a potential encounter where I might not be able to safely transport a changeling's body, I crafted a firebomb. My intent was to ensure that the changeling could not regenerate or continue to pose a threat. This was done in the context of an extreme emergency, as allowed by the rules.
2. Contraband Use Rule Interpretation
According to the official rules, Security and Command are restricted from using contraband except in extreme emergencies, such as a nukie situation. While firebombs are not directly mentioned as contraband in the rules, my intention was to use the firebomb as a last resort against a confirmed, severe threat (i.e., a changeling).
3. Clarification on Firebomb Functionality
I was informed by the admin that the firebomb does not actually create fire, which was something I was not aware of at the time. The name "firebomb" is indeed misleading. Had I known that it did not produce fire, I would have chosen a different method to neutralize the changeling. My actions were based on a reasonable assumption given the item's name.
4. No Rules Broken
As per the official rule set:
Security and Command cannot use contraband outside of extreme emergencies. However, they may use syndicate radios or encryption keys ect. in emergency situations. Given that I was preparing for an extreme emergency (a potential encounter with a changeling), and my actions were in the interest of station security, I did not violate the rule regarding contraband use. Additionally, I never made use of said firebomb and it remained in a secure locker in security for the end of the round.
5. Conclusion
I believe that my actions were in line with the rules and that this situation stemmed from a misunderstanding of the item’s functionality and my intentions. I kindly request that the ban be lifted and that the admin team consider reviewing the relevant rules to avoid similar misunderstandings in the future. It was a syndi round and me and a two other guys had grabbed a super surplus crate we got two jug suits and a saw also there was also a chameleon projector (important later) so me and the other syndi went to kill ntr who had all of caps stuff and killed another one of our syndi comrades he had fleed down dispos so I and other syndi chased him there when we open the airlock other guy got shot into space at Mach ten so me being alone and also the fact of our existence being well know I decided to flee to armory because we had been at this for at least 20 minutes so I had used the chameleon projector to sneak around station as a knife because I was across the station from where the armory was and did not have enough ammo or man power to fight my way back there so I had used the projector to get back to Amory got inside untransformed and then had a stand of with two other guys where with no warning or exclamation I was banned mid conversation for "use of chameleon projector to receive speedboost while wearing juggernaut armor" 

Why you should be unbanned: I was given no warning of the fact that using the chameleon projector to sneak across station was exploiting I had just assumed the movement speed was automatically calculated I was not focused on the speed at the time also I was given no heads up about the fact it was also exploiting there were no messages over ahelp or ooc/looc from any one before I was banned so I was never given a proper opportunity to correct the action

Relevant info only and don't leave anything important out: somewhere in the middle of the shift the lone salvage obtained engineering comms key which they used to joke with me about them being a voice in my head, engi comms being open to everyone and reality being a simulation. After that i jokingly called them a "fly eater" once, i followed it up with screaming "i am better!!" after they said "CE is speciest" in the common radio.
Why you should be unbanned: I understand that jokes that involve themes of racism and bigotry are going too far for any normal IC and OOC interaction, and from now on, if i do get unbanned, i will be more careful in any further conversations with other players to not offend or ruin the game for them.

I had nothing more interesting to do soo i sneaked into the bridge and hided into a locker (i find sneaking into departaments fun to try).
While i was in the locker saw the captain fail at keeping the rioters from stealing the comms console but was able to make them back off.
While i was thinking about what to do for when i leave the locker i decided that i would make a big table. Then i went out of the locker and started making the big table.
Only was able to make like 7 tiles of table before a secoff saw me and arrested me, and i said "worth", then complained at sec about my sentence of 4 minutes for secure tresspass.
After that i dont remeber how did the shift proceed but i remember going ssd and going to sleep.

Why you should be unbanned: Honestly, this was a fair ban and a big fuck up on me about trying to be funny but ending up doing it bad.

Round #4334, Packed, begins with me as an Atmos Tech and a tritium fire. The tritium fire was set off by some random person who was not investigated further, and there's nothing else to say about this interaction, but I'm documenting it anyway due to the ahelp during the round - and the fact I responded to the tritium threat.
Later during the round, nuclear operatives appear on station by C4ing Security through Armory. This is important to note later.
During the attack, many of the security members - if not all of them, died to spacing and/or bullets from the nukies' side, and since I heard that nukies came in through Sec, I take up a Kammerer and down one of the nuclear operatives, giving me a bulldog to kill the other two nukies. All nukies, except the sole reinforcement monkey, had a death acidifier, and there were no other miscellaneous piles of gibs lying around to signal either another nukie or a gibbed member of Command.
(I believe that) after killing the second (possibly third and last) Op I took a syndicate headset from the monkey, and concluded that even with the assorted inventory in Maintenance next to the captain's body there shouldn't be any more syndicate members or gear after killing the last nukie. After receiving the "all nukies are dead, we're sending evac" message, I heard a very unusual voice speak up.
[Syndicate] Natalya Streltsova rurs, "Shit."
[Syndicate] Natalya Streltsova barks, "What now."
I can't fucking believe I have to spell it out completely, but - this told me three things immediately as the messages were sent.
There is another syndicate member I haven't accounted for. (based on the fact that a fifth syndicate headset existed) This syndicate member is likely not a nuclear operative, as there haven't been any additional piles of gibs or Syndicate gear lying around near the Bridge/Security area. The Natalya Streltsova (Wawa_pull) person was in fact confused or surprised after hearing that all nukies have died.
Judging by this, let's take the theoretically possible logical situations.
Natalya is a traitor, and has bought a Syndicate encryption key early to cooperate with other traitors. As you can guess, this was the conclusion I ended up on. Natalya stole from a nuclear operative or another Syndicate player, and is genuinely surprised that the nukies are all dead. I guessed this as unlikely due to the prompt speed at which this was said; as well as the lack of any EVA-readiness (oxygen tanks, etc) on their person, which would be required in the first place to enter the spaced nukie zone. This is a voice mask. Also unlikely, since on Packed the oppoturnities to use it without being detected are slim to none, and traitors don't typically spend all of their TC instantly. On my side, there were little suspicions before that Natalya was even involved, but the typing speed suggested to me that there is also either a sixth Syndie or a pAI (which WAS sighted on a nukie) that got acidified with the nukies. This is only a reasonable assumption if we assume Natalya was a traitor and bought the headset with her own money, as there would be no other reason for Natalya to speak up on Syndie Comms.
Assuming she's a normal crewmember/thief though, we get the following problems:
Crew only talk on Syndie Comms if there's people they know are aligned with them. This rules out her being a crewmember, since nobody on radio reported that they had the syndicate encryption keys in any channel, except for local speech due to how chat propagates. Thieves would need to be extra sneaky to pull theft like that off, much less without doing damage. As a med doctor with no EVA gear, this is also disproven. I would have to go really far to prove that they aren't a traitor, to the convolution point where it has to take a George Melons level of skill and infamy to get to that point. Again, I killed all the nukies and I knew I had all the headsets accounted for, and since I didn't get any feedback on how Natalya could be crew, let's presume she's a traitor.
Even though traitors don't typically pose a threat to the station, in this circumstance it's unlikely that Natalya and the nuclear operatives wouldn't have communicated, i.e. with codes of the nuke; any potential assistance such as making chloral hydrate, ClF3 et al.; considering the fact Natalya reacted so drastically to the nukies dying over Syndicate radio, as opposed to local chat next to any other possible traitors.

As such, it would be safe for me to assume that Natalya has lethal intent since she is a syndicate agent cooperating with nuclear operatives over Syndicate equipment (her encryption key). In the banning admin's eyes, this seems like overescalation since the counter point is that Natalya could have easily stolen that headset from a nukie (disproven above; and "I'm not security", despite all of it being dead), and it would instead be more logical to disarm and detain them. I disagree, since by the time Evac arrives the majority of people are armed to the teeth.
Why you should be unbanned:

My line of escalation was as logical as it could get from the perspective of an experienced player with sight making up the majority of the intel. Rule 11, where escalation is defined, doesn't have this as a clean map - and instead states that I would be in violation if the assumptions above were poor, which I believe they're not, as I had just explained my thought process. As such, I don't believe this ban was delivered fairly.
Furthermore, this ban would set the precedent that while gamesense can be used against the nuclear operatives to deduce their strategy, any traitors cooperating with the operatives are somehow magically immune because it would be just as easy to procure another encryption key (spoiler, no, due to traitors being the only other possible antagonist to buy and dispose of them discreetly).

Relevant info only and don't leave anything important out: guy I attacked was a shitter, put 50u of mutagen in a full tray and left, almost Kudzu'd everything, dug up my plants (which I guess is up for debate as if it even matters at this points), I started making joints and putting em on the chef table, dude just starts grabbing em and throwing them off the table and when I hop the table to grab them he closes the shutter behind me and starts flushing the rolling papers and ground rainbow weed and other shit I had down the trash chute. In which I ran around and started beating him up. I took him to med and took his ID so he couldn't get back inside and keep fucking with shit, he's done more harm the good the entire shift and it was beef between me and him. I was ahelp'd shortly after that in which I explained the series of event, grey brought up that logs said he never dug up my plants, which I still believe isn't true regardless, I distinctly remember having to replant a golden apple tree that I had already planted. I'm juggling still trying to manage botany, talking to a tray that wanted to be unwrenched and people trying to talk through the glass outside of botany while talking to grey in ahelp, which culminated in silence and a 12 day ban that was issued the NEXT round as I was playing HoP maybe 10mins into shift. 

Why you should be unbanned: 12hdays is ridiculously harsh, especially when it wasn't self antag in any form (am I going to break into my own department with his ID? Did I gib or put him on a spike? I Dragged him to med), there was no "ahelp misuse" that's just dumb to even add to a ticket in a situation like that but anyway. "ahelp misuse in bad faith" is utterly ridiculous and borderline obsessive and reaching for reasons to issue a ban when the reasons I gave, 1, was shown to be arguable in which I still hold did occur the way I said it did, and all of this could've been more reasonably settled through in round events and security intervention. I have reason to believe this particular admin has reason to hold a grudge. I crit him and immediately brought him to med, taking his ID so he cant stop being a shitter in our general area. I'm not sure what it is but Grey has a genuine tick to be a smartass in Ahelp in my experience, one of the reason I just stopped playing whenever Grey was admin, any ahelp with Grey was going to end in a ban and this is pretty much my proof, where literally any other admin overseeing this I believe would issue a warning after seeing the entirety of the situation if they felt it was necessary, which I don't think most would deem admin intervention and a ban necessary. Literally none of this needed admin intervention, its more of an in-game security issue, sec shows up, arrest me or decides to put me in perma, why it even needed admin intervention is beyond me, what is security even there for at this point? The over escalation in this particular series of events was admin intervention, it wasn't needed when it very reasonably could've been handled by me, him, and security. "A whole host of lies" is within itself a lie, and if I am wrong that he wasn't the one who dug up my tree, its a severe dramatization that's only added to mislead other admins into thinking the ban is more credible and deserving which is incredibly underhanded and conniving and not the type of professionalism id expect an admin to hold themselves too when it comes to intervening in a round. The inconsistencies in the ticket alone stand out "received a whole host of lies about what the botanist did and only a few accusations stuck" its not like I gave him 27 different reasons for why I beat him up and dragged him to med, this is once again, a severe dramatization in effort to issue a ban.

EVENTS LEADING TO BAN: Select chaplain. Arrive on station. Peaceful shift walk around preaching the word of god. Stroll past botany. CURTAINS???? Destroy curtains with chap laser looks inside sees tomatoes. HERETICS!!! Report to sec. Sec ignores. Yells at clown and mime for stealing and eating caps shoes. Go back to botany. See them stuff 3 killer tomatoes in bag. Takes potshots at them to interrupt operation. VALID HUNTING? They attack with spades and wound me. Med heals me and I go back to sec. Sec listens and arms up. We storm botany. They try to release unholy amalgamations of science kill them easily and kill 2 botanists 1 escapes. Sec says dnr on botany medics ignored and tries to revive I hit the botanists body with crowbar repeatedly. Too much rage? BANNED. I am pretty sure 2 out of the 3 botanists were self antagging. Please unban I want to goob I am bored, will send feet pics
