Ban issue: I did what I was banned/noted for, but the ban is unreasonably harsh.
Events leading to the ban
During a round as RD, there were two semi-hostile to openly hostile rat kings, a heretic, and a dragon. The dragon in particular was in my department, and the rat kings had already reportedly killed people. I asked CMO to borrow their syringe gun and made heartbreaker to fill it with. Less than 5 minutes after the dragon was dead, I was messaged by the admin in question and told I was power gaming and given a note on my account over it. It’s worth noting I had already died several times -once almost permanelty- due to sec being stretched so thin.
Reason the ban should be removed
Given the circumstances I feel it’s extremely reasonable for me to want means to defend myself and my department. It’s not as though I armed up for no reason or carried it during a peaceful time. I feel that giving me a note for “power gaming” is extremely unfair, especially since I told the admin in question that I was willing to just give back the syringe gun if it was an issue.
I don’t feel that falls under the umbrella of power gaming given the numerous constant and active threats to myself and my department. And, if it does, I think just giving a verbal warning would be much more fair than noting me immediately as the admin did. It feels as though the admin just took a look at my equipment and had no regard for the context as to why it might be reasonable to have.
It’s also worth mentioning I never even used either the deckard or the syringe gun. I had them incase I had to defend myself or my department, but I allowed sec to do their job and didn’t valid hunt or find a reason to use it, even when I had multiple opportunities to use it on the rat kings.
