Events leading to the ban

Hi, I have 40 hours in game and starting to get the hang of it, I LRP and MRP as a chef, botanist, and assistant.

I played on Omega today and got this:

Reason the ban should be removed

I always play my part and am never rude or negative, I haven’t said or acted anything out of line at all, ever, neither do I try to game any system or take advantage. I just like the servers a lot. You can see I’ve been on there!

There’s something about an IP in the complaint, but I only use my one IP and no VPN when I play. I do use VPN for browsing, is that the problem? I can assure you I am not doing anything bad or manipulating anything, I’m just a new player trying to learn and
have fun.

I also missed admin messages? I’m sorry I’m new to the game, if any such messages appeared I must have missed them, I’m still trying to learn it all.

I think I might have a clue. I was using the Goob in game voice chat in the browser.

I have my browser routed through VPN so maybe that triggered it?

If so I will make sure to disable VPN for the voice chat as well. My bad if this is what happened.

No update on this? I figured it out by the way. I was having issues with my sound card, so I figured, I’ll just access the voice chat on my phone. So I was messing about with that when the ban occurred, so I just messed up the VPN stuff.

Can I get back on the station please? I have burgers to make.

Hello,

Our admin only wanted one thing and that’s it for you to provide a reason why you connected to GoobStation on a different account from the same computer on the same IP address.

Please provide a reason and we’ll look into unbanning you.

On a different account? I only have the one, “bengulum”. I had another account when I first signed up and I abandoned it, for some reason. I only use “bengulum”.

Only reason I can think of is a VPN fuckup. I was on the station using voice chat. I don’t use VPN when playing, but the browser chat still went through VPN, so maybe that’s it?

I honestly don’t know. I’m not an evil player, I’m genuinely just trying to learn, I don’t break any rules I swear.

And I really like Goob servers!

Ok I literally did nothing purposefully wrong, get permabanned out of the blue, am in here trying to get it fixed, and just get ignored. Is that how it works here? Like wtf.

How complicated could this possibly be?
