Ban reason: "Disconnected from server: You, or another use of this computer or connection, are banned from playing here. You were banned by: "Lehmin" The ban reason is: "Griefing - Abandoning a role - 1st offense" Through inaction as Blueshield, allowed the station to be effectively taken over by antagonists and the round was ended early via eva called by antagonists. Spent most of the shift in security talking, etc." This ban is for 720 minutes and will expire at Sunday, June 14, 2026 1:25 AM UTC. Attempts to circumvent this ban such as creating a new account will be logged.
Ban issue: I did not do what I was banned/noted for.
Events leading to the ban
I had waited in the 7+ queue for 10~ minutes before I was able to join, where I had seen in OOC chat (I think a round had just ended?) something about the new species Hydrakin. I spent maybe less than ten minutes customizing my new character and joined the round late (I don’t know how long exactly) as the BSO, I got out of cryo and immediately saw multiple people armed, I was not harmed and originally thought it was possible to be revs after hearing something about “Darius stay away from sec and bridge” to which I questioned them over radio and went into the disposals can that lead into BSO / NTRS room (Barratry), flushed myself down and began grabbing my gear. After finishing gearing up I went back through the disposals can, passed under bridge and DID notice people in bridge but really payed no mind to it and by the same person who warned me earlier notified me it was not revolutionists but syndicate agents. At this time I was testing out the new Hydrakin species and went to engineering for a welding mask (Can’t wear glasses) then entered security where I saw HOS and almost immediately began tracking him and I believe asking what had happened where HOS had began talking in looc about the new species for around just a minute before returning to IC where I asked for ammunition, considering the chance of syndicate agents being a danger to me. I had then left and notified hos that I needed to go ssd for a bit to take care of my dog. I had returned around five minutes later in the lobby screen and immediately sent into the ban screen as I sat down confused with the AHELP tab open with two messages from Lehmin. These messages were:
“9:16 AM Lehmin: Were you at all aware that the Captain and HoP have been killed and that the station is under the control of enemy agents?”
“9:21 AM Lehmin: Given that I watched this whole round play out, and you decided not intervene in the event of the round being ended early due to the sheer lack of interference on your part and security’s I will be giving you a 5 day command roleban and 12 hour gameban. If you feel that this decision was made in error, please appeal on the forums.”
Reason the ban should be removed
I had late joined this round, unknowning to captains death, Hops death, the overrun of the station by antagonists (Though I was suspicious because of talk on radio and armed crew) and that the evacuation shuttle was called. I had not left early to wait till the round had ended and only left to take care of my newly adopted puppy who is a lot of work to handle and return to keep playing. I also had not been talking for “Most of the shift” in security and only talked for around 2 minutes after being confronted in LOOC by a curious HOS and IC by a security officer, also unknowledged to most of what was occuring who before I left I did say we had “Syndicate agents” because of another player telling me in the hall and over radio but not much, if any of them killing command and taking over the station. Please remove or atleast reduce the time to my ban as I believe this was a harsh punishment (And mostly for a 1st offense) for something I had mostly no knowledge in and got no say against, I was just taking care of my dog and playing the shift for fun. I should have probably told an admin I was going to go ssd but i thought I would be back soon enough to not be banned.
