Ban reason: "banned for 12 hours - non grouping / bad character name/ 1st offense/ 12 gb ban / had the name "Benjamin Netanyahu" got told to change it made it "Donald Trump"
Ban issue: I did not do what I was banned/noted for.
Events leading to the ban
As I joined the server late, I changed my name to Benjamin Netanyahu and ghosted because I thought it was funny because people would wonder “Is he actually playing as x” I followed an admin and said hi he then told me that if he saw me in-game using that i’d get banned, personally I did not care because I was not gonna use it in-game.I did it because I was bored, I then asked him if I could change it to something maybe less offensive as I realised that Benjamin Netanyahu might just cause some issues and made it Donald Trump.Another admin then changed it, I then followed the admin and kept making remarks about zeds saying that they were “raiders” and that they should be banned for RDM and that was the end of it, I proceeded to join the thunderdome after some while and some guy said “Wait it’s donald trump” so I started cosplaying as Donald Trump in the thunderdome(which was very good if I say so myself) and then got banned.
Reason the ban should be removed
I think the note is VERY missleading on what actually happened, I personally believe this was enforced in bad faith, as the note says “he was told to change it” which is not what happened, I personally asked him to send me to the lobby to change it, clearly he did not mind if I kept it as a ghost because ghosts/thunderdome are OOC spectators and it’s such a big nothing burger to ban for that, in the logs he says that I used a bad character name but I was NOT using it, that’s the entire point. The thunderdome itself is also OOC and that’s why I did not instantly ghost after realising my name was still the same.Was I being annoying? Maybe, but atleast ban for that reason because this feels kinda cheap instead of the max punishment for using a name OOC.
