Ban reason: Incompetence as security/command. As BSO killed someone that was not threating command.
Ban issue: I did what I was banned/noted for, but the ban is unreasonably harsh.
Events leading to the ban
So we were having a rev round, during that time I had lost my stuff and kind of became jumpy and less sensible. A while later nearing the round end RD had radioed me saying they had a bomber in sci or at least a clone of their employee making IED’s, so I had asked if they wanted me to deal with it because at first I was under the impression they might kill RD later on I figured out they were a clone trying to kill a researcher not RD. So while I was at science we started hearing explosives in sci and on the radio the real researcher not the clone was screaming for help in robotics so I rushed over there with RD and killed the terrorist, then my clone or another researcher dragged them out and I left them with a secoff to be taken care of.
Reason the ban should be removed
So this ban was fair, I’m not saying it wasn’t, the thing is I don’t believe it should be permeant due to me only having one note prior to the incident. (I did have another note about incompetence as BSO it just was about nine months old so I don’t think it holds water in this appeal.)
So the admin, Xyane, was looking at what he saw as a repeat offender due to me having one really old Incompetence note and a somewhat newer one that happened four months ago. So Xyane handed out a permaban because in his eyes I had three notes for the same action and that warranted a permaban from the BSO role, and that’s where i disagree I believe it should be reduced to a two note roleban due to one of the notes being really old and really because I didn’t do this with any malicious intent it just slipped and happened.
Also no hate to Xyane he was doing what he saw right.
