Events leading to the ban
I was walking around without translator on with a beanbag shotgun I found it maintenance, while walking around in the maints near Security I walked into a shadow anomaly and was transported into the HoS office, I asked for help over the command radio via an intercom in the room and after being let out I thanked the officer and left into Disposals
After being confronted by an admin in Disposals I couldn’t understand them because I had forgotten my translator was still off and so I was banned.
Other factors Include:
Saying nonsense phrases/being rude to people in my character’s language,under the assumption that they couldn’t understand me
Flashing people in the hallways
It was my second round on Goobstation
Reason the ban should be removed
I shouldn’t have done this bit until I had a better understanding of the server culture and I appreciate how my actions could have been interpreted as raiding, but my intent was to be an antisocial maintenance creature named Gort, a character who I am used to being recognized as in other servers and as a result my antics are usually understood to be mischief making rather than openly malicious.
I never did anything I thought would actually upset anyone but I acknowledge having my translator off meant I was unable to “read the room” as well.
