Ban issue: I did what I was banned for, but the ban is unreasonably harsh.
Events leading to the ban
We were in genchat and there was a guy with a very obvious alt account we were fucking around with. In their bio they had things in it such as “trans rights are Aryan rights” as well as other things. Someone had posted an image of their profile after they were banned which was deleted, however I posted it again telling Kira (the staff member who was in the chat at the time) to wait, as I had noticed their bio and was amused by it’s contents. The image remained up, and everyone in chat was conversing and making fun of the profile, since it was funny. I had, at a later point, noticed the slurs in their pronouns but figured it was nothing since Kira was there and didn’t mind. 2 weeks later, I’m banned WITHOUT being shown the screenshot, and I had forgotten what happened by this time.
Reason the ban should be removed
This happened 2 weeks ago. While I WAS in the wrong, the image was posted before and was only deleted. There was also a staff member in chat to moderate things. Having the image I sent being sought out for and then punishing me 2 weeks later feels unnecessarily harsh for a small bit of text that was shrouded by the rest of the profile. I don’t believe it was required to permaban me for it, when, IN THE MOMENT I had posted it, I did not notice the slur. I apologize, but I do still believe I should have the punishment reduced or removed.
