Ban reason: Wardenloosed to go rescue two dead officers while the rest of sec was still alive, which ended up in hunting the ling that got the officers and a prisoner being left dead
Ban issue: What I was banned/noted for is not against the rules.
Events leading to the ban
I was chilling in the security hallway when I saw a security officer get absorbed on camera. Later on, the AI screamed that two more security officers were dead. So in my mind, that made three dead security officers because of the Ling.
Me, the Warden, and the Captain went to the crime scene. I saw the Captain get mag-dumped by the Ling and go into crit. I helped the Captain and then backed off, but the Ling kept chasing us
For some reason, the Ling was dead on evac, so I went there and cuffed them. They escaped, and after a while, we ashed the Ling
And after the whole ordeal, i got warned because i wardloosed and hunting the ling.
Reason the ban should be removed
Hello, this should be my second attempt of note removal.
Based on the explanation above, when I went to the crime scene, my thought was “i need to rescue the three dead officers and then back off”, you can see that I literally tried to rescue my officers at the last second before evac arrived, because that was my original intention.
However, when I actually got there, there were only two dead officers and one passenger. This was a legit miscommunication between me and the AI.
And foor some reason, Captain moved north when i was still processing the body and right clicking stuff, and the Ling immediately started magdumping him to crit. I fought the Ling briefly, then immediately backed off to rescue the crit Captain but the Ling kept chasing both of us so it was not me that validhunt. I repelled the ling and i didn’t hunt the ling, my original intention was to rescue the 3 sec offs.
AI then screamed that said Ling is dead on evac, when i heard that and was already in med, i went there because it was very close place. I then immediately strip them naked and cuff and wanted to biomass. Ling revived himself and ran away, i chased him because he has nowhere to run with no ID and stuff and i was like “why would I pass this golden opportunity while i am outside of brig” then started chasing him around and found him trying to get his stuff back and so, in the end we ashed the Ling.
I am fine with the note stuff but not when it is a bit unreasonable.
I was screaming in capslock and says “Where are my security at” and got no response.
It was unreasonable to assume I knew other security officers were still alive when the two dead officers were the most active ones trying to stop the threat.
2 more officer are afk and other one is a cadet that is new. So it is reasonable for me to say that sec are falling off. There was little communication during mid shift.
Moony33 said that i left the prisoner dead and at the same time saying that brigmed is alive.
There was one instance where the sec off dropped Heretic body to brigmed and it’s confirmed to be DNR and just dropped it there. I wanted to bag the heretic so the body would not rot, and i saw another prisoner with no wanted status, so i assumed they were also DNR, just like the heretic. If brigmed was alive, why did they never return to their post to heal them?
And the HoS part, i legit didn’t know that Captain really promoted detective because there is no discussion after asking me to be HoS. There was no communication, or maybe i wasn’t aware because i have been through hellish Warden runs.
It is nice when you can observe the whole thing as aghost, you can have the whole information for yourself but not when you are playing, you are limited to the information that you are given in round.
I can’t observe the whole thing as a warden, i did my job (a bit poorly) and just wardloosed past 35 minutes because i sincerely believe that the sec off is falling off and need to replenish the number back.
I would eventually will be back to security if the evac was not called so fast under 1 hours for a small tragedy. It was just this one instance where i think warden should loose and help security itself instead of staying still inside the brig
