Length of ban: This is a note appeal so I am unsure
Ban reason: Its a note, but it says that I "Chased a Individual and attempted to continue beating them with a crowbar."
Ban issue: I did what I was banned/noted for, but the ban is unreasonably harsh.
Events leading to the ban
It was one of those shifts were 5 or 6 syndicate gamble and get surpluses at LL and then RR the entire crew, fine whatever, but during their first attack in cargo I as a paramedic was trying to heal secoffs and use what little combat meds I had to help out as much as I could.
During this, a secoff goes crit and the syndicate who kills them was very low on health and was (to my memory) starting to strip them. I had a crowbar and hit them a few times so that they would leave and I could help the secoff, I hit on them a couple times (they had heavy armour and I was doing little to no damage,) They ran towards salvage and I continued hitting them until they entered salvage and then I returned to the secoff. I got into a few other fights a bit alter and never ended up saving the security officer. After I was killed while attempting to talk to one of the syndicates the admin decided ahelped me saying I was validhunting which I disagreed with and they simply said go to forums so I did.
Reason the ban should be removed
I feel like what I did was very normal escalation and self defense. As a paramedic who had 0 guns, gear, or any way to defend myself I did the bare minimum to make the threat leave me alone so that I could do my job. I didn’t kill the syndicate, (who had just killed 3 or 4 secoffs) all I did was make them run away so that I could attempt doing my job. I would also like to mention that I later DID have acess to a fully loaded shotgun and instead of using to kill the syndicate (still close by and still injured) I ignored them and tried to run away so I could protect myself and the corpse of the security officer. When the teammate of the syndicate chased me down I fired at him once then ran away AGAIN and ended up fully empty all shells on the ground while I begged for my life and ran.
I didn’t hunt any of the syndicates, with each encounter I ran away and was mostly just begging them not to kill me. I feel like nothing I did would be considered validhunting and in the end I was killed a few minutes later regardless.
At most this should have been a small verbal warning about to be a bit more careful around the rules, but an actual note on my account seems quite severe for a very normal in character thing to do.
