Events leading to the ban
I was banned a few months ago, so I don’t remember it all, but basically I was a scientist and there was a HORRIBLE rd, like threatens-to-kill-you-over-a-small-mistake horrible. We argued for a loong time, and I ended up running out of patience and expletives for this guy. I called him the f slur out of a fit of anger, and honestly I.. didn’t even know it was banned from goob..hadn’t even thought about it before.
For some context, I grew up and am still in an environment where that slur is very normalised, to the point where it’s sometimes just a way to greet people not even insult.
Reason the ban should be removed
I didn’t think at the time, and I wouldn’t do it again if in the same situation. I HAVEN’T done it again in 200 hours of gameplay on Omu.
And I know it was wrong, and it was in that person’s right to ahelp and it was right that I got banned, but it’s been months, I’m thought long and hard(and finally figured out how to post a ban appeal) and I’m ready to return to goob- if, of course, I am allowed.
Which.. I do sincerely hope I’ll be allowed in again, I’ve missed the chaos and the short shifts I had on goob a lot, and it was my first ever server and I would like to revisit it sometime.
