Ban reason: Competence - Unreasonable incompetence in Command - First Offense Ordered a KOS on all non-mindshielded crew causing alot of innocent people to be murdered. Mind you it was revs and they were armed.
Ban issue: I did what I was banned/noted for, but the ban is unreasonably harsh.
Events leading to the ban
okay so i late join barratey (or however you spell it) as HOS and i arrive to an already chaotic situation
theres a literal hole in the side of security and theres probably around 2 people inside already? (didnt know it was revs at the time) so after that i get my gear, then AI says that someones trying to break in armory, after a little bit catch the guy trying to get in and they die to the electrical grates so i drop them off into brigmed
not even a few minutes after i hear dragon called in radio so i call for red as dragon scales very hard and i do not like to take chances for it
the person who called it fake called the dragon to steal my locker in which they succeed in
so then i realize after the person who called the fake dragon said it was fake “oh fuck ward armed crew” (I didnt order it but i saw an assistant with a krammer so i just assumed that they did) and then almost RIGHT after that revs are called to be confirmed in comms
you have to understand this all happened almost all right after another on a late join to an already shitty station so i was already on edge and this just made it worse
i had no idea what was happening, i barely had time to prepare any gear and it was already messy in security, and i had no idea what threats were on the station, how armed the revs were, how many security officers we had, i barely had any time to situate myself.
in my own experience, revs can get very bad very quickly, and i with certain antags (revs being one of those) i do not like to take chances with that
Reason the ban should be removed
i feel like the ban is not necessary, i would’ve understood a warning but i don’t understand how this is incompetence in the slightest? I was doing my job as best i could even under all these circumstances
i understand if multiple innocent people got caught in the crossfire, but that’s kind of just the concequence of revs (in my opinion)
if you dont automatically surrender and get on the ground when told when theres a very much station ending threat that can sprial out of control if not crushed immediately, you are very likely to be shot because of it (once more in my opinion)
