Ban reason:As a moth player, abusing the dash throw bug to push station pets and toss people through walls.
Ban issue:I did what I was banned/noted for, but the ban is unreasonably harsh.
Events leading to the ban
Well, it’s the start of the round on the Box map. I’m playing as a moth and looking for something to do, and I notice that at high speed, when using the Moth dash, the harpymoth flies straight through glass.
First, I throw my own moth behind the glass, and then I find another moth just wandering through the corridors and throw it behind the glass as well. They end up in a depressurized area and die, then get gibbed.
After that, BrizbyMouse messages me in ahelp asking what I’m doing. I reply that I’m having fun, just messing around, not gaining any advantage from the bug and simply experimenting.
BrizbyMouse replies “mm ok” and then permanently bans me right in the middle of the round, at the 20-minute mark, over such a trivial thing.
Fine, a one-day ban — fine. Three days — fine. A week — fine. But a permanent ban??? I think that’s way over the top.
Reason the ban should be removed
I didn’t do anything that would deserve a PERMANENT BAN.
It’s not the bug abuse you did that caused your ban to become indefinite. More of how you kept excusing a rule break with “goobing” instead of just stopping and listening to Brizby.
You could’ve left it there and taken a warning note instead, but instead it led to you seeming underaged to be on the server, which is an indefinite ban according to our banning policy.
Apologies for how long it took me to respond. I would have preferred you instead sent your form of proof privately, but I’ll come back to this is some time.
In the future, please get confirmation before sending anything that you think may not be a good idea to send publicly or at all.
