Events leading to the ban
A user entered the OOC chat during the round and “complained” in a sarcastic manner on the low population of the server. Given i was reading about a drink called “the Mayojito”, I decided to write on OOC chat about offering a funny drink to them if they came to the bar.
Reason the ban should be removed
It was given to me as a second offence on a previous note on LOOC communication that would have influenced the round, where I asked a scientist to make a borg for my friend that died. It was at 100 hour (more or less) on the game, since then i have learned how it works and I now understand why you should not use the out of character chat to gain anything or to do anything. This one was on OOC (I was writing as Pistos, not as my character) and it was more of an invite rather than a request, and if the player would have come to the bar (thing they did not do) they would have played IC with me offering them a mayojito. The admin also told me this is the second warning before a ban.
I personally strive to follow the rules and not break them, I do not have any interest in gaining advantages in game, the message I sent was not in any way aimed at gaining anything from it, the drink did no damage and was plainly in a glass without anything more added to the recipe, I was not an antag so I had no interest in having someone in the bar and the message was more sarcastic than anything.
