Events leading to the ban
So I spent 40 minutes on lavaland mining and looting as all shaft miners do. After I’m pretty much done evac gets called and cap said in the announcement because of a ling. I get to the station and go to bridge to ask cap to recall. They said no because the situation is bad because of the ling. I told them that I can resolve that and kill the ling because I wanted to not evac. Captain said please do and so I go in maints searching and finding the ling and eventually killing them with some security officers. After that we burn them and then evac couldn’t be recalled because it was too late to recall it and so I evac.
Reason the ban should be removed
Main reason I think this note is wrongfully given is because captain gave me approval to help the station into killing the ling
“› Security are freely empowered to deputise players as they will or to declare states of emergency if they believe themselves unable to handle ongoing issues within the round. These calls should be backed up by the chain of command where possible, and non-security players are free to enquire with security to see if they require assistance if concerned. As per the main rule, deputized players are acting as security and held to security’s standards. (Players consistently asking to be deputized or doing so with little in-character reasoning may be asked to knock it off and just play security)”
As per this rule I considered that its fair that I got deputised temporarily by captain to help security in killing the ling. For this reason I think that this note is not judged fairly.
