Ban reason: "Escalation - RDM x 11 - 1st Offence. Emagged a recycler and set up a teleport straight to it. Round removed 11 people via it and if not more if we didnt step in. Was confused with Tot rullings and thought his Debrief gave him clearance for Dagd Actions. Was understanding atleast in the ahelp."
Ban issue: I did what I was banned/noted for, but the ban is unreasonably harsh.
Events leading to the ban
Got the syndicate traitor role after a long time of not getting it. (Haven’t played traitor in at least a month) Looked at my objectives and tried to find the two crewmates that I needed to eliminate for the round. After a long while of searching with no luck I saw another objective that I needed in med. I stole the RD’s handheld teleporter which was apart of my objective and took it. I came up with the idea to use the teleporter in assistance to me killing my two objectives as well as causing perhaps a little disruption to the station. I created essentially a gib portal hooked up to the emagged disposals. It ended up killing 11 people which was completely unintentional.
Reason the ban should be removed
I didn’t mean for it to kill that many people and I was misunderstanding of the notes that were given in my antags description. I thought it would’ve been noticed sooner by the ai and I really did forget to turn it off after a while of continuing to search for my two objectives. As my first time back finally on an antag, I have to play through half the round talking in a help and not even being able to enjoy the role finally as I’m trying to converse and secure my place in the game. I didn’t mean for that many people to die to it and it shouldn’t have really done that to begin with. I’m just disgusted and actually at my wits end after I finally get an antagonist role and I’m not even able to enjoy it. I wanted to play this weekend and now I can’t any longer. If it could be reduced to sometime early this week or lifted that’d be appreciated as I sincerely didn’t mean to cause this much harm and I really don’t think I’m being treated too fairly here.
