Ban reason: "Slurs excluding "retard" and variants - 1st offense - perma ban" Ban issue: The ban is fair, but I would like a second chance or reduction. Events leading to the ban I was playing on goob with a new-ish friend and decided to introduce them to Chemistry (a department which they showed interest in). Due to the nature of chemistry and the intricacies of it I decided to teach them via discord VC/screenshare. I feel the need to note that while in this VC we didn’t exchange information regarding the round in any fashion. It was exclusively used to teach a new player a objectively tricky department. With this in mind the afformentioned friend was (admittedly and expectedly) struggling, frustrating me. And with it being late at night i simply didn’t notice myself typing in SS14 chat as opposed to the dm’s we were in leading to the slur being typed in the SS14 chat. With myself being (as I mentioned earlier) tired i simply didn’t notice i typed it in the game.
Reason the ban should be removed While me and my friend are LGBT I understand i should’ve paid more attention and not typed the slur in chat. With all this considered I personally feel as if a permanent ban for such offense is admittedly excessive. If not a appeal, I’d like to ask for a reduction.
