Banning Admin: yubs12345
Length of ban: A day
Ban reason: Self antag second offense - 1d gb "Worshipped the 'Unknown' (from a present) and beat CMO to crit, causing them to be eaten from a demon."
Ban issue: I did what I was banned/noted for, but the ban is unreasonably harsh.
Events leading to the ban
So, the shift began like any other until the Present anom spawned and then crit soon after. This led to many presents being thrown about and the Unknown is one of the entities spawned by said present (lacking its powers, of course). Soon, a bunch of crewmembers begin to worship the Unknown and I decide to engage in the RP of it all. Not long after I join, the Unknown begins to demand blood sacrifices from certain individuals, which I interpreted as critting somebody then bringing them back. The rest of the cult also thought along the same lines. This leads to the group of Unknown worshippers following the Unknown to the bridge, as the Unknown begins to demand the blood of the CMO. All of us oblige their demand and jump the CMO, critting them. Afterwards, I was hoping to fix up the CMO, but the HoS dispersed the crowd before I could manage it. I then split off from the Unknown and the rest of the worshippers to relax and help out around the station. Not long after that, I decide to cryo, as I had had a long day.
Reason the ban should be removed
I had no idea, at the time, that the demon was a thing until after the CMO’s presumed death. I had assumed that the CMO was okay and that they had been fixed up by the BSO. I did not crit them with the intention to kill them, because I was attempting to play into the RP that was emerging within the shift, and the circumstances of their death was beyond my control. I had no intention of round removing the CMO and made no such action to do so in the first place, and the individual who had performed such an action was the Demon, who I had no knowledge of. I crit the CMO with the intention to play further into the FearRP, as there was a literal starry void god demanding the blood of the CMO and IC, I had no idea the consequences of refusal, so I didn’t wish to risk them. Therefore, I feel it is overly harsh to have banned me over this when much of what occurred was beyond my knowledge and control.
