Ban issue: I did what I was banned/noted for, but the ban is unreasonably harsh.
Events leading to the ban
I was in a round playing as the RD, was attacked by a ling prior and was away at chap with the cap beside me waiting for the chap. I would also point out that I was mute, due to a slime, and the cap did not know any sign language. While waiting, an “assistant” looking exactly like one of my only two scientist workers barged in, so I figure out that they are the ling. As I cannot communicate with the cap, first I tried to point at them with the in game function. Cap didn’t understand a thing, so I started attacking the ling to prevent them from getting away and hopefully communicate to cap that they are a threat.
Reason the ban should be removed
It has been quite some time since I have read the rules of the server, and I cannot confidently say what I did was right or wrong, but I believe I had enough of a roleplay reason to justify what I did to the point where it should have been at the very most a warning rather than an outright ban. This is a sandbox game after all, and I believe you should be incentivized to bend the rules rather than see them as strict legal bindings otherwise they would suck up all the fun.
