Ban reason:"Slur usage - Indef Ban - First Offense Usage of wiggas "
Ban issue:I did what I was banned/noted for, but the ban is unreasonably harsh.
Events leading to the ban
To be fair, all I said was “This wiggas name is Child” in the OOC chat when the round was concluded. Then Bap decided to talk me down for using that word and proceeded to claim how the word “wigga” was racist according to ChatGPT and other mods.
Reason the ban should be removed
I think that it’s kind of petty to be perma banned just for using a “slur” as I find the word wigga as humerous and lighthearted. I’ve used the word countless times in different communities as a joke that allowed that word to slide with no repercussions or complaints, but usually laughter.
Also I see this as unfair when I’ve seen countless people call eachother retards ingame but when I say the word “wigga” it’s considered offensive and that I shoul be exiled with no extra chances.
It is against our rules to use actual slurs of any kind, regardless of what you think about it, where you used it, or how many times. It is literally just “nigga” with one letter replaced; come on, dude.
If you hear “Retard” from others, AHELP it. I don’t know how you got the idea that we allow it or let people get away with using the term, but we don’t. Never did when it comes to the game servers. You are exiled with no extra chances because you used it and don’t see the issue with it. This is a valid ban, as you claim otherwise in your appeal, where in Core Rule 11, at the end, it says:
Obvious or common real life replacements of offensive words or slurs used in IC are not allowed. For example, you may not insult a lizard by calling them the L- and ending with er as an N-word derivative will result in your permanent removal. Be creative.
“Wigga” is literally an N-word derivative. It’s exactly like the term “Ligga” that’s used in this game on other servers (to my knowledge).
I don’t see what you don’t understand about the use of the term, but if you can’t see that the ban is valid, so be it. I’ll put a post up for discussion
